“Yesterday” by Petey Rioz is a deeply personal original song written in memory of his son, Pete Rios Jr., whose life was tragically cut short at only 18 years old. This visual story was created to honor the emotion behind the song: grief, memory, love, and the pieces of yesterday that never truly leave us. Rather than attempting to recreate Pete’s life or speak for his family, this video uses symbolic imagery to represent the bond between a father and son, and the pain of carrying love after loss.

SKYKID (James Brodie) is a music producer and songwriter from Te Aroha, New Zealand, known for creating anthems for the broken, the lost, and those navigating life’s darker moments. His music explores the balance between light and darkness — blending raw emotion, storytelling, and melody to connect with listeners on a deeply human level. After more than a decade in underground bands and projects, SKYKID released his debut solo album *Heart* in 2024 to strong reception. His upcoming project *Footnotes* (April 2026) continues that journey, carrying forward themes of resilience, reflection, and hope.
